Minutes of the first Board Meeting of the SVCA on February 13
th at 7:30 p.m.One Director absent – Ken Reid; the other 8 in attendance, with Andrew Karlstrom acting Chair.
The meeting began with a wide-ranging discussion of some procedural issues and legal concerns relating to the SVCA. The Board developed a Constitution based on the mission statement approved by the members at the AGM. Next, several basic by-laws were voted on to provide a working structure. The Constitution and By-laws will be posted on the website.
The Board elected Bill Maurer as Chair, Harry McGucken as Vice-Chair, and Michele
Payne as Secretary/Treasurer. Michele noted that more donations were received since the AGM, bringing the account to $94.60.
The Board voted to send official notification to the District of North Vancouver of the newly elected Board of the SVCA along with contact information. The Board also voted to send a formal request for the results of the District Survey commenced on Feb. 5
th.The meeting was adjourned at 10:30 p.m. The next meeting to be March 6
th.
